Front page news once again
A faithful trend
A story of aborting innocence
And the dominance of what God has created to be sacred
Thrown in pig pens
Relationships, lies, lust of the eyes
And leaving behind of piece of them
That wasn't meant to be destroyed
The voice of your generation
They say it's love
They say it's enough
But love wasn't created to be wasted
But to trace the Father's heart
Maybe we've been starting with the wrong lines
Cause' Satan's got the generation riding all the time
He replies,
"As long as you fit the height
Or as long as your realize you're aching inside
To be loved"
Somewhere along the ride you didn't get enough
And words spoken over your life slice
And hypnotize you
Till' you can't refuse
They define you
They bind you
But I've come to fight back with words of truth
It's just another lie
Love wasn't created to be wasted
But to trace the Father's heart
Cause it's front page news once again
Yet nothing new is said
It's the same bruised generation
Facing the loss of embracing the Savior's arms
Playing with darkness
Starving their souls
With infected God-shaped holes
But no one would know
They cry alone in the night
Fighting to stay out of the light
Cause they know when it shines
They get looked upon with eyes that demean and despise
We the wise; guilty
So where are my tracers who will stay with the Father's pace?
My embracers with arms for the faithless names?
My world changers who have seen enough wasted
Who will race to the enemy's place
And take back the children enslaved
Bearing the Father's name that breaks chains
Who will see past the faking and see deterioration
Who know that every faceless prayer
Is shaking this generation to awaken
These ain't just words on a page
But a charge for us to stop running in place
We must be the change cause we're all that remains
Plain and simple
We can say all we want
But what they hear is what they see
Hearts that bleed compelling love with every beat
We cannot wait
We must love today
Cause like I've been sayin'
Love wasn't created to be wasted
But to trace the Father's heart
